ChemElements has a rich history that began in 1916 with the construction of nitric acid and ammonium nitrate production in Uzovka (now Donetsk). For more than 75 years, the plant was owned by the Soviet government and operated as the Donetsk Fine Chemicals Plant. During this time, the plant became the world's largest producer of high-purity mineral salts.
By 1991, just before the collapse of the USSR, the plant had grown to produce over 110,000 tons of high-purity chemicals annually and employed more than 3,000 people. This legacy of excellence and innovation laid the foundation for the ChemElements of today.
Since then, ChemElements has evolved into a modern, privately owned company that continues to build upon the legacy of our Soviet-era predecessors.

In 2014, the conflict in Donetsk, the hometown of our production facility in eastern Ukraine, forced us to relocate our capacities to a new location. Despite the challenges we faced during this period, our team saw it as an opportunity to transform and reinvigorate ChemElements. This relocation ultimately led us to establish a new, modern production facility in the heart of Ukraine, specifically in the city of Cherkasy.
Since then, our team has worked tirelessly to ensure that our new facility meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. Our investment in modern equipment and processes has enabled us to streamline our production and expand our product line while maintaining the same level of quality that our customers have come to expect from us.
